The addition consisted of an emergency department expansion, which includes 27 exam rooms, 12 observation rooms, six secure psychiatric rooms, a decontamination area, and a large six bay ambulance garage. It also includes a new surgery center, central sterile processing, a 12-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), and two floors of shelled space for future pediatric inpatient beds.
