NEI Electric has LEED Accredited Professionals who are able to design projects according to the LEED Standards. Customers realize the benefit in reducing energy consumption/usage costs as well as demand costs. We continue to offer our customers options for energy savings such as the installation of variable frequency drives (VFD’s) and programmable controls.
About LEED
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, developed by the U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC), provides standards for the construction of environmentally sustainable projects.
The rating system addresses six areas:

Leed Certification
LEED certified buildings are designed to use resources more efficiently and provide healthier work and living environments. There are four levels of LEED certification of projects: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

- Area: 52,000 square feet

This “Green Clinic” uses energy efficient cooling, lighting, and controls to save energy costs over the lifetime of the building. Value engineering services provided by NEI were used to keep the project under budget and maintain its LEED Silver Certification.
